Donnelly Group has taken on the Jaguar franchise in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, joining its existing Land Rover business.

The move is part of the network shake up of the Jaguar Land Rover network that has taken place in the past few years.

The Donnelly Group has been a car dealer in Northern Ireland since 1947 when Peter Donnelly started a vehicle repair and taxi business.

Since then the Donnelly Group has become the largest family owned motor retailer in Northern Ireland, with a workforce of 700 people.

It has eight locations in the province located in Ballymena, Belfast, Eglinton, Enniskillen, Newtownabbey, Omagh and its Moy Road and M1 Complex in Dungannon.

It represents 19 carmakers and sells 18,000 vehicles a year. It is rated 54 in the Motor Trader Top 200 Dealer Groups with annual turnover of £277m.

Dave Sheeran (pictured), managing director at Donnelly Group, said: “This is a very exciting time for the Group as we move ever closer to the opening of the new Arch concept 50,000 sq. ft. Jaguar Land Rover showroom later this year.

Donnelly Group’s partnership with Land Rover commenced in 1981 and we are excited to further develop that relationship by welcoming Jaguar on board.

“The showroom will reflect Jaguar Land Rover’s new corporate identity which is being rolled out across its global network and will see both Jaguar and Land Rover’s impressive ranges of vehicles sit together in one building.

“So far ten new roles have been filled with additional recruitment opportunities in the coming months. Extensive training has been provided to all team members by Jaguar Land Rover and our staff are really excited to showcase the new Jaguar vehicle options to our customers.

“At Donnelly Group, we keep the customer central to everything we do and the new Jaguar Land Rover showroom will ensure that we provide an unrivalled experience for each and every customer.”
