Lloyds Banking Group’s Black Horse and Lex Autolease motor businesses will be run under a single combined leadership structure from next month, with Black Horse managing director Richard Jones becoming managing director of Lloyds’ Motor and Leasing division.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to lead Lex Autolease and Black Horse forward through an exciting period of change in our markets. The success of both businesses is founded on the expertise and the efforts of our colleagues.”

Jones is a Lloyds Banking Group veteran with over 20 years experience working for the organisation, having taken senior insurance division positions. He has run the Black Horse operation for three years.

Lloyds claims that under his watch Black Horse has pushed dealer training and support, particularly for digital and self-serve activities. The company currently has a 4,500 strong dealer portfolio.

Jones will initially work alongside outgoing Lex Autolease managing director Tim Porter, who announced his retirement in August
