Vertu appoints COO David Crane as board director

Vertu Motors has appointed David Paul Crane as an executive director of the company with immediate effect.

Crane is currently the group’s chief operations officer (COO), having been appointed to this role in 2017.

 He is responsible for the management and running of the Group’s operations infrastructure, including the central aftersales support, IT, purchasing, fleet sales and ancillary business activities as well as two operational franchised dealership divisions.

He joined Vertu Motors at its inception in 2007 and has 25 years of experience in the automotive sector.

Prior to joining Vertu Motors, he was commercial director of Reg Vardy before it was bought by Pendragon, where he served as group services director,

Crane has also worked on the other side of the fence as aftersales operations manager with Renault UK between 1991 and 1997.
