Vertu Motors appoints group fleet director

Vertu Motors has bolstered its management team with the appointment of Jonathan Snelson as group fleet director. He was previously fleet director for VAG, Nissan and Renault.

Snelson has been with the Gateshead-based motor retailer for almost two years and has 22 years’ experience in the motor retail industry.

 

He has held senior roles within L and L Automotive and Sytner. As group fleet director, Jonathan’s objective will be to establish key relationships and act as the central point of contact for fleet customers for sales and aftersales.

Vertu operates several large-scale fleet operations and the investment in this role signals the desire to expand that further across the whole franchise portfolio that it operates. Vertu’s like for like new fleet car sales last year fell 5% in a market down 5.7%.
