Waylands Automotive appoints ex-Ridgeway directors to board

Waylands Automotive has appointed James Smullen and Richard Spencer as directors, joining CEO John O’Hanlon on the board.

Smullen joins Waylands as finance director having previously worked for Ridgeway and Marshall Motor Group.

He joined Ridgeway after qualifying as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton and specialising in motor retail.

Spencer joins as aftersales director and brings a wealth of experience to the new business.  He started in the trade with Hartwell rising to group service manager before spending 17 years with Ridgeway as group aftersales director.

Waylands currently employs over 60 people across two Volvo sites on Bennet Road, Reading and most recently Fawcetts in Newbury.
